SENCO

I joined the Norton family in 2019, however prior to this I had worked with children with SEND for 8
years. Throughout my time volunteering at Alderman Knight School my passion for inspiring little
minds grew, particularly in supporting each child to achieve an individualised target.

After graduating from the University of Gloucestershire, I debated working in a special needs setting.
However after much deliberation I decided I would like to support children in mainstream settings
achieve their own goals and ensure every child is included in the ethos and family of the school.
Shortly after arriving at Norton Primary School, I received my NASENCO award and in 2022 I became
the school SENCO.

I feel very passionate that all children at Norton are provided with the opportunity to strive to their
own goals and therefore as SENCO it is my responsibility to support families, staff and the children
on this journey.
